Adjunct Professor Susan Mockler’s poetry chapbook, “You Could Almost Hear the Sand Shift,” was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2008 Black River Chapbook Competition (Black Lawrence Press, N.Y.). Professor Mockler, who teaches in the department’s writing progtram, was also selected as a poet in Arlington County’s 2008 “Pick-A-Poet” program. This is the 4th year she will be conducting poetry workshops in local schools.
