A number of English courses are moving the classroom to the stage this spring and taking advantage of the local theater scene in the D.C. area during February and March. Dr. Bisson’s class in Dante’s Florence will attend Synetic Theater’s production of The Divine Comedy. Dr. Rippy’s class on Shakespeare’s comedies will visit the Folger Theater to see A Winter’s Tale, and Dr. Howe’s Theater History students will attend Dog in the Manger at the Shakespeare Theater and Lysistrata at the Gonda Theater. Student tickets are half-price. English majors interested in attending should contact the instructor.
