On April 16th, students from EN220 presented the second annual MU FilmFest. This year’s theme was Autism Awareness, and the event included a film showing of Max Meyer’s “Adam,” a coming of age film about a young man living with Asperger’s Syndrome. The film was followed by a panel discussion with mothers of young adults and children who have been diagnosed on the Autism spectrum, featuring MU Psychology professor, Dr. Linda Gulyn. Students held a raffle with prizes donated from many local businesses as well, and the event raised over $200 to support Autism Speaks.
