Dr. Karapetkova and ten Marymount students traveled to Washington, DC to attend the Split the Rock Poetry Festival on March 22-25, 2012. While there, students attended poetry readings, panels, workshops and open mic sessions that helped to celebrate the many ways that poetry can act as social change.
